The Die or rubber mold is required to produce or stamp out your lapel pins. Each Die is hand carved into the steel for the Die Struck process and for a typical 1" lapel pin the die is usually 4" wide and at least 4 inches thick and weighs approximately 4 lbs. Die or Molds for the die casting process are made from rubber and are hand carved from wax a true art! As you can see the amount of time and artistry required for manufacturing lapel pins is truly astonishing!
