Photo Etch Pins are the most popular process available. It allows for great detail and is slightly more economical than die struck enamel. This process is ideal for highly-detailed artwork. Rather than being stamped, each design is chemically etched into the base metal, then color-filled by hand and baked at 1,200-1,400 degrees before being polished. In the final step, a thin coat of clear epoxy is applied to the surface to protect the enamel and to provide a rich, finished look.
Similar to die struck, this process provides an extensive selection of color choices and a production time of four weeks. Photo Etch,Enamel allows for the greatest amount of detail in the design, and is, therefore, best suited to designs which incorporate complex or multiple logos. Photo etching offers an extensive selection of color choices, is the least expensive to produce.
